Len Pérez, better known as Venus online, is an uruguayan teenager that loves surfing in the indieweb. Starting their web in 2024, is now having better skills at coding and programming. Due to the work of the Urguayan politician Tabaré Vazquez in 2007, Venus got access to their first laptop in school. Plan Ceibal was created to get young students in uruguay closer to technology. Thanks to that, Lele started coding at the young age of 11 yeards old. Starting with her love for playing minecraft bedwars with her friends (and the fact that this laptops at the time used linux), she started searching about mods and discovered the indieweb.

History of Venus

Venus

late Old English, from Latin Venus (plural veneres), in ancient Roman mythology the goddess of beauty and love, especially sensual love; from venus "love, sexual desire; loveliness, beauty, charm; a beloved object" (from PIE root *wen- (1) "to desire, strive for").

Other facts about my nickname

This nickname, apart from being from my deep conection to loving and the erotistic point of view i take in my daily life, also comes from a lot of my favorites things. Such as Sailor Venus from Sailor Moon, the song "Venus as a boy" from one of my favorites artists Bjork, and the lyrics from "Nobody" by Mitski.

Backstory

I was born on the 26th of december, in Montevideo Uruguay. I had a lot of struggles in my birth, gladly it just turned out on me having difficulty to see and motility problems. I always had a fascination forthe web, the internet and technology, in reality, i've always been a geek girl who loves to learn new things. Even if i'm "bad at it" having new information in my brain really makes me happy, since i was a little child. I actually started web-coding late, cause unfortunaly as a very shy person, i did think as first that i wouldnt be good enough to finish a proyect, but i realized that its not about standing out or not, but having fun. So in 2024 i started a neocities (which i honestly don't remember the name) and i left behind that mindset. I was diagnosted with autism in early 2025, being diagnosed as an young adult made me realize a lot of things about me. I realized the amount of times i spent masking, and it helped me to bemore free and happy, understanding why i act certain ways and that there's nothing wrong with it.
